For the academic and technological development of architecture in Korea, the registered members of AIK are involved in the following activities.

Research Committees

AIK has performed self-funded research projects since 1968, and currently comprises 2 Research Division, 13 research committees and 60 sub-committees. Each committee is involved in continuous research activities and holds individual meetings regularly. The 4th and 5th floors of the AIK building provide conference rooms and assembly halls for this purpose.

Academic Conferences

AIK holds regular academic conferences biannually in spring and autumn. Hundreds of technical papers are presented at each conference, where members of the academic and industrial fields participate and exchange research results, current research trends, and other architecture-related information.

Symposia, Seminars and Workshops

Approximately 20 symposia and seminars are actively hosted for various fields, and academic lectures and technology seminars are also frequently held by each local chapter. As a means of collaboration with foreign academic associations, AIK also hosts international symposia and special workshops.
