Journals and Proceedings Architecture Ever since it was first published in 1955, the AIK periodical < Architecture > provides every month to registered members information on useful research and technology topics and upcoming events. The periodical includes announcements by AIK and reports of individual and AIK activities. Upcoming events are given notification for greater publicity, and a summary and appraisal of past events are reported in detail. Document contributions, introductions to new technology, construction technologies, and architectural appraisals are also included, and the abstracts of the research papers published in the monthly journal are listed. Journal of the Architectural Institute of Korea The <Journal of the Architectural Institute of Korea> is published in two volumes: monthly, one related to planning and design, and the other related to structure and construction. Each journal is composed of 20~30 original academic papers with logical or experimental research results and all papers are examined thoroughly by a judging committee. Each local chapter also publishes its own journals. Architectural Research The <Architectural Research> is a journal of AIK in the English language and contains technical and research papers written in English. It was first published in 1999, and is published annually. Proceeding of Academic Conference The <Proceeding of Academic Conferences> is published in spring and in autumn each year, and contains all of the research papers presented during the conferences in two volumes, one related to planning and design, and the other related to structure and construction. Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Environment (JAABE) JAABE is an annual international academic journal, serving researchers in academic and research organizations and all practitioners in the building sector. The journal is published by the Architectural Institute of Japan, in cooperation with the Architectural Institute of Korea and the Architectural Society of China. Publications AIK has published such academic literature as [ Architectural Text Book ] [ Korean Architectural Standard Specification ] and [AIK Architectural Book Series]. The [Korean Building Codes] will be established and published by AIK. The final reports of various research projects are also published as individual pieces. All publications are stored at the AIK Information Center, and a list of publications is posted at the AIK homepage. AIK Architectural Information Center AIK Architectural Information Center was founded in April of 1998 for the systemization and utility of architecture information and for the promotion of information exchange. The center thus follows the goals of AIK of promoting active academic exchange through the sharing of information by all those involved in architecture and of providing the most up-to-date information. It is possible to read or copy the publications, literature, and magazines stored at the center. A great amount of data will also be uploaded to the AIK server for easier research. In particular, not only the table of contents, keywords, and abstracts, but also the original documents from AIK's periodicals, journals, and proceedings will be opened to the registered member in the form of a large database.
