The goals of the Architectural Institute of Korea are to study and practice the technology and art concerning architecture and construction, and to improve architectural culture by raising the social standing of architectural professions and by promoting friendship among AIK members.

Facing the new millennium and preparing for national reunification, AIK will focus its research on the following matters.
Establishing national identity and planning new lifestyles and architectural culture in response to the rapid globalization of modern society
Vitalizing the AIK Architectural Information Center for the systematic and practical utilization of architectural information in the age of information
Reestablishing education policies and building codes in response to changes in the position and function of architecture
Realizing academic exchange between the two Koreas for the recovery of historic and cultural homogeneity
Organizing and creating technological resources for industrial-eductional
Continuing academic exchange with foreign architectural organizations
